Welcome to American Flyer Guy! Thanks for joining me. I’m a member of the Central California Model Railroad and Historical Society (CCMRHS) and, with the help of some skilled toy train enthusiasts, I will be posting useful layout tips, stories and information about trains (real and toy trains), and date, time and location of events related to toy trains. In my early years, I lived only a few miles from the A. C. Gilbert factory in New Haven, Connecticut. When I was old enough to have a train it was sure to be an American Flyer freight set (circa 1954). Although my primary focus is on hi-rail “S” gauge American Flyer trains, I also have built “O” Gauge and Standard Gauge layouts–as have others in CCMRHS. So, sit back and relax.
